I am looking for tips for an Arabian themed room for a party. Pictures of the room decorations and costumes will be helpful.

Try watching some of the old I dream of Jenny episodes to get ideas. Her bottle she lived in and outfit she wore was colorful and very pretty. Just an idea.
This is a very tongue in cheek idea. I lived in Saudi Arabia for a few years back in the 80's. Did you know we women have to cover ourselves completely to go out shopping? Also, women were not allowed to enter certain shops or restuarants. There were signs that said, "Women will not be seated or served here." Based on that, you could have the women wear black robes (abayahs) and head scarves, then make them sit in a separate room from the men.
Wouldn't it be fun to have an Aladdin's lamp and maybe a magic carpet suspended from the ceiling! ;-)
What a fun idea! I would start with an invitation designed to look like a little "flying carpet". Decorate with lots of sheer fabric hanging from the walls and a few brass pieces.

Any ideas on what I can produce for Arabian themed party favors for children? There is a range of ages.

Flutes & head turbans -(Ladies Hair Dept.) from Dollar store. Buy feathers & gems to hot glue onto the front of turbans. Sorry-this is all I could think of- but it's a start. Good luck. : )
What are the best colors and fabric to use for an Arabian theme party?
By Alice Agard from Trinidad, WI
Metallic gold, bronze and silver, as well as any jewel tone color like purple, royal blue and a topaz yellow (dark mustard color). No prints!
The fabric type is a heavy brocade, which is expensive and also sheer types like a belly dancer would wear.
