I have arthritis in my feet and knees. I have had good luck with Chondroiten sulfate and glucosamine. I also use MSM. These take awhile to take effect. I quit working when they started talking about knee replacement, and my knees have improved a lot, but that has taken a year. No more talk of surgery. My potassium levels get low and I get more achey than usual. Taking a potassium supplement fixes that. Do have a blood test for potassium levels before you take a supplement because too much potassium is as dangerous as too little. I take naproxan (Aleve) when I need it. Long term use of ibuprophen has been implicated in heart disease. Naproxan seems to be the safest of the nsiads. I have used capcaisen and it does work. Good luck to you.
