This is a neat idea to do it with a cute little Valentine's gift with a note. Maybe you could find a little dancing bear and put a note asking him to go with you! Or if they still make candy hearts (the kind with words on them...if they have let's dance on them, you could give him one and ask him to go with you.
Don't text-that is not personal. There is something cute but not cheesy out there for you!!
