The tree was in great health. The flowers bloomed, then one day I noticed all the flowers looked like they were eaten. Shortly after that the leaves started to turn brown and fall. It looks like a fungus on the underside of the leaves. What can I treat it with? Will I still get some fruit? I was so proud of my tree because I started it from seed.

Normally the brown leaves and what you are describing is from salt burn on the leaves. Over time there is a lot of salt build up in the soil that can cause this issue. it can also happen with fertilizers. In order to get rid of this you need to try and get rid of the salt build up in your soil. Once a week take your garden hose and and water deeply enough to leach the soil to push the salt build up down past the root system. This can take a bit of time but this will help and the tree will grow new leaves again.
