To me it is odd, as mine have never done that. Are you sure it is the plant and not the soil its in? Wondering if there may be insects in the pot soil...
How big are they? Are they giving off fruit yet?
If it smells like rotten eggs you are watering it too much.
Could it be blooming?
Some said it could be an overwhelming scent.
