There is an awful smell in one of the bedrooms. This year it started to stink right after we turned off the swamp cooler for the year. (One of the swamp cooler's "dumps" is between the bedroom and the adjoining bathroom.) It smells like sewer. We keep the door shut. Last year this room had the "dead mouse" stench. I cleaned closets, moved furniture, to no avail.

A few months after a contractor fixed water damage in our house we experienced a constant odor of feces or sewage throughout our house. We were at a loss until pulling up one of our carpets. The floor was covered with black mold. We began stripping walls and found the same behind. As it turned out instead of replacing damaged materials the company dried them with fans, bleached to kill odor and painted over damaged materials carpets were fan dried and relayed also.
