I received back child support from my kid's father, but he was getting it through disability. He recently passed; will I still receive a child support check?

This is a question only Social Security can answer. Make an appointment and bring any documentation you will need
This type of question can only be answered by SSA as there are numerous factors that would have to be answered that only the SSA can determine if your child is eligible for benefits.
You state "back child support" so does that mean you have not been receiving current regular monthly support from the father?
How old is the child and how long have you been receiving back support payments? Are you being paid through the court system? If this is the case then you should be able to contact the court for more information also.
Was the father paying you directly or have you been receiving a check from Social Security?
What type of disability was your ex-husband receiving? SSA or SSDA?
Have you ever applied for child benefits through Social Security?
Did your ex-husband (?) have any assets and did he leave a will? You may be able to make a claim if he had any assets (car/house/land/valuables).
As I said, there are too many variables for anyone to answer on this site.
Check in person with the SSA (not telephone) and if there are still questions then check with your local Family Services to see if you can get free legal advise on what you should do.
Be sure to have any papers pertaining to support (any letters/court papers) and SS numbers for yourself, your child and your ex-husband.
