Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,246 Posts This is a great recipe for when you're running low on bacon but you want to keep the flavours going. I using bacon salt on popcorn, eggs, salads, meats... anything! It is so good and so easy to make.
Total Time: 8 minutes
Yield: 1 mini jar of bacon salt (several servings)
Ingredients:
- 2 slices bacon
- 1/8 cup salt
Steps:
- Fry up your bacon pieces as you usually would on medium heat and cook until super crisp, a few minutes.
- Let rest on paper towels until cooled and completely dry. You want as little moisture and warmth in the bacon as possible.
- Crumble up the bacon and put it in a food processor with the salt. Pulse until super crumbly. You can also use a mortar and pestle.
- It's ready to sprinkle on your favourite foods! Keep in refrigerator in sealed container. A little goes a long way!
