I think this is a great dessert. It gives me kind of an autumn feel. Great for a chilly night's dessert!
Ingredients:
Custard:
- 3 slightly beaten eggs
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 cups milk, scalded
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Maple Sauce:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 Tbsp. flour
Directions:
For custard:
- Combine eggs, sugar, and salt. Add milk slowly. Add vanilla
- Pour into custard cups. Place cups in pan containing 1/2 inch hot water.
- Bake in 350 degrees F oven for 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
For Maple Sauce:
- Combine ingredients and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
- Cool.
- Add a few drops of maple flavoring.
