How and when did you get your pet?
I had to have Flenters, my dog of 13 years and 7 months, put to sleep on Friday 25 November. Needless to say, I was heartbroken. Initially I thought I would wait until I have made peace with his passing, but I just missed having a dog of my own too much.
On 29 November I unexpectedly drove past a pet shop, one of whose existence I was unaware of. As I drove past, from the corner of my eye I saw four cages with small animals. Two cages had kittens and two had puppies. I stopped, and on closer inspection, saw that the one cage had four Border Collie crossed with Fox Terrier pups inside. Bambi was the smallest one and was hiding in the back of the cage. She was half the size of the other pups, and the pet shop owner said that she possibly was the runt of the litter. What convinced me though, was when I picked her up and looked into those beautiful eyes. One of her eyes is ice blue, and the other one is amber. She is still very busy and doesn't understand about posing yet, so unfortunately it was not possible to see it on the photo.
I chose her name, as she is "dear" to my heart, but also, she looks like a little deer leaping across the grass when she runs.
Even though I still miss Flenters so much, I am very grateful for the new chapter in my life.
