Silver Post Medal for All Time! 293 Posts This is a basic winter headband. It's quick, easy, and warm. You may adorn with flowers, feathers, gems, etc. or leave as is. You'll want one in every color!:)
This will fit most child-adult.
Total Time: Around an hour
Supplies:
- "I" crochet hook
- about 100 yards #4 worsted weight yarn
- scissors
- embroidery needle for weaving in ends
Steps:
- Ch 5.
- Dc in 3rd ch from hook and each until end.
- Ch 2, turn. 1 dc in each stitch until end.
- Repeat last step 2 times more.
- Ch 2, turn. 1 dc in same space as your ch 3, 1 dc in each stitch until one stitch is left, 2 dc in last stitch.
- Ch 2, turn. 1 dc in each stitch until end.
- Repeat last 2 steps 4 times more. This will be a total of 8 more rows.
- Ch 2, 1 dc in each stitch until end.
- Repeat last step 16 times more.
- Ch 2, turn. Dc decrease over the next 2 stitches, 1 dc in each dc until the last 2 stitches, dc decrease.
- Ch 2, turn. 1 dc in each stitch until end.
- Repeat last 2 steps 4 times more for a total of 8 more rows.
- Ch 2, turn. 1 dc in each stitch until end.
- Repeat last step once.
- Using a yarn end, sew 2 buttons on one end of your headband. This will allow your headband to be adjustable. You may even add a third button if you need it even smaller.
- To fasten your strap, simply push your button through the other end.
- All done!!:)
