I love basil pesto with my sandwiches especially a croissant or bagel, tossed with pasta/spaghetti, as salad dressing, etc. We didn't have any parmesan cheese so I opted for cheddar cheese and added peanuts (more affordable versus pine nuts, you could opt for other nuts or no nuts!)
