I am wanting to set a fair price for these items as a set, but don't know the actual value. I would love some input. I have a dresser, chest. and night table. The finish is walnut.

These are great pieces and at the moment the mid century modern (MCM) look is still sought after, especially east of the Mississippi (in the bigger cities) and in California (the Lodi area seems to have a lot of pieces sold recently for some reason). MCM is trend, so sell while it is still hot.
Depending on where you are, you may be able to ask $2500 for the set, maybe $3500, but you will probably be given offers of much less--so be open to offers because offers will be what your regional market can bear. You can always negotiate or hold out to you get what you want.
It is all about supply and demand and if you are in a place where these pieces are a hot item in low supply with a high demand, you can get more. High supply, low demand, much less.
The person will need to be able to haul, unless you are offering delivery, which means you can stand to your higher asking price if you are including delivery.
If you have an auction house that specializes in furniture (or a consignment store) you may net a little less because you have to split profits, but you will probably get more eyes on it and get more gross profit on the items.
It maybe hard to sell it all as a set--so come up with values for selling it by the piece if you want to sell it on your own (or agree with this with the vendor selling).
Post back what you fetch for them! Thanks for sharing!
Where I live, there is no demand at all for furniture like this. I would set the price at $300 and see if anyone responds. Reduce the price accordingly.
Here is the same dresser priced @ $795: www.etsy.com/
I hope you're able to get a good price when selling your furniture. (You might even try dusting it w/ some 'Old English Scratch Cover' to help cover any light scratches.)
It depends on where you live on the value of your pieces. You could look at the online pieces and there prices and give your cost/.value. Keep in mind condition and shipping. Try to sell locally this cuts back on a lot of fees, also customer has to pick up.
