I have light grey walls, a cream shower curtain, and grey towels. What color bath rug would be best grey or cream?

it seems you want to stay with those two colors so why not try to find a striped or neat design (blocks. squares, geometric, etc) rug with a combination of the two colors with maybe another color mixed in to brighten the room.
Others may suggest different colors but one thing to keep in mind - this is a bath rug and will have to laundered so a wild color may not be the best choice.
If the choice is between those two colors, why not try a dark charcoal or even a bright red?
I would try dark gray.
You could go with any color! It depends what style you'd like. For me I like a pop of color and wouldn't go with teal.
i agree dark gray because lighter colors will show spills sooner

I believe that a cream and Grey colored rug would blend walls with shower curtain perfectly.
