I have a small half bath with a white vanity and top and white commode. The floor is white tile with soft gray grout. It does not have a window and gets no light. What paint color should I paint the walls?

I am a big fan of a bright natural sky blue, but if it is really dark, a sunny yellow does wonders! Check the paint rejects at Lowe's for $3.00-$5.00 gallon. You wouldn't need more than a half gallon. (05/01/2009)

I'd use a pale green, or maybe a sage. I tend to paint everything green because it seems to bring outside in. (05/01/2009)

I also love sage. It goes with everything and adds a real warm touch to a room. Also think about adding some mirrors, in addition to what might be near the vanity, to help open the space. (05/01/2009)

I made my 1/2 bath with white fixtures Tidewater from Sherwin Williams, it's a blue with hint of green; very fresh and happy color. Also used it in my open concept kitchen/dining room. It made my white woodwork and maple cupboards pop! (05/01/2009)

Check out the "rejects" at the hardware store. Gallons usually run about 3$-5$ each. If there aren't any windows, the lighter color the better. (05/07/2009)

Continuity is a good thing to keep in mind especially decorating small spaces. I would suggest a light silvery gray. It's a good color for a darker space, plus it would tie in with your fixtures keeping a consistent flow in the space. You could even add some coordinating art using silver framing. If the space needs a bit of an accent color, a silver vase with bright red flowers would work nicely too. (05/07/2009)
