Bathroom Rugs and Accessories Color Advice?

I have having a hard time deciding a color for the bathroom rugs and accessories. My walls are a soft blue and my vanity cabinet is white with light gray accents on the woodwork. The floor is a gray with white accents softly in a vinyl and I chose a medium gray shower curtain with 2 shades of

gray. Now, since the walls are blue in a pastel soft color I am confused
to what color rugs and accents to use.
Thanks.

Dark gray. It will stay clean looking longer.

My bathroom is soft blue with white accents. My bath rug is blue matches the wall. I have gold accents for the sink/towel rod.

I would go for different shades of blue, and a dark blue somewhere to ground everything

With the combo you described you have lots of options:

If you like matchy match--you may want to consider keeping to the same color families...but darker or lighter...a navy and a medium gray or even black (which I love with light blue--to me it is has an art deco vibe to it).

White or a wood tone (like oak or pine color) can work also--this can give a more beach like feel to the room...especially if you throw in very small pops of sea glass colors like a light green or opalescent purple.

If you really want a really small pop of color...consider a deep or hot pink or rose or a jewel tone purple for one or maybe two items...but if you go this route, less is more.

Two options for really getting a feel for how colors look together WITHOUT spending the money and regretting it are

1. Go to a store like Bed Bath and Beyond and fill a cart with a few things in the color scheme you want to try then walk around the store and see if you like it. (PLEASE be kind and put everything away when you are done!)

2, And even easier...is log into Pinterest and in their search engine type in the color combos you are considering...my searches for you would go something like this....bathroom light blue gray hot pink...or room light blue gray and beach tones then scroll through to see if you like the looks.

Pinterest has saved me from MANY a color faux pas....for rooms and clothing choices.

If you are doing this all on a budget...once you have a color...be on the look out for Bed Bath and Beyond Coupons, or my personal fav, the flea market and tag sales.

People often sell off entire sets of bathroom accessories for pennies on the dollar because they have changed themes or made wrong choices. WASH THEM GOOD (SAFETY FIRST) and then enjoy!

The benefit of buying reasonable is if/when you get tired of it, you won't feel so guilty getting rid of it at your tag sale!
