When our children and grands are visiting, we give up our bedroom for them and we sleep on a comfortable queen-size air mattress somewhere else. I got so tired of going back and forth to my room to get clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc., when others are using our room. I tried different ways to get around this and finally came up with a great idea.
I pack myself a suitcase of everything I need while they are here - all the clothes, jewelry, and shoes. I just roll the suitcase somewhere out of the way where I have access to it. Everything I need is right there. When I need go to shower or get dressed, I just roll the suitcase with me. I don't have to tip toe back to my room now to get things. I love being my own houseguest!

Great idea...I have an extra bedroom and made it a room for family members. The grandkids have baskets for clothes and other items as well as for adults.
I used to give up my bed for my Daughter and her husband but they never gave up their bed for me. And i was up in age whereas they were not. I have a spare room now but I'd never again give up my bed for anyone and I don't think anyone should be expected to. Only exception is an aging parent. But both of mine sre deceased so thats no problem. May sound selfish but so be it.
