If you have small pieces of old jeans left, you can make beads out of them. Denim beads go well with wood beads and leather cord. Using jeans of different colors, you will get multi-colored denim beads.
Total Time: 20 Minutes
Supplies:
- denim
- ruler
- scissors
- pen
- transparent hot glue
- knitting needle
- leather cord and wooden beads to make a necklace
Steps:
- Cut strips 4 inches long and 0.5 inch wide from denim. The number of strips is 2 times less than the number of the required beads.
- Cut the strips diagonally into two equal parts - two right-angled triangles. Cut off the sharp edge.
- Wrap the denim triangle around a knitting needle as shown and glue the end with hot glue. Remove the denim bead from the knitting needle. Repeat this step with each denim triangle.
- String the denim beads onto a leather cord, alternating with wooden beads.
