This project is an easy way to make curtains.

Total Time: 2 hours
Yield: 1
Supplies:
1 bed top sheet
matching thread
scissors and pins
sewing machine
Steps:
Measure window size. Cut sheet in half. My window measured 51" wide by 61" long, so the size of the curtains, gathered, would need to be 1 1/2 times the width of the window. The sheet I used, when cut in half, worked out to be 1 1/2 times the width, give or take a few inches.
Iron under the sides of the sheet, folding twice, and hem by machine. Using a bed sheet, helps save the time of hemming the bottom and top of the sheet since they are already hemmed. Only the sides of the sheet need to be hemmed.
Fold the top of the sheet down the number of inches necessary to allow room for the rod to be inserted. I did mine 4 1/2" and this allowed for the rod to be inserted as well as room at the top.

Sew across the top of both sheet tops. Sew a second seam in the middle of the folded hem to hold the rod into place. Insert rod and hang curtain.
