Bella (Lab Mix)

Bella is our 8 year old Lab mix. We were looking for a pet for our autistic son and a family member knew someone who needed a home for Bella. They didn't have enough time to spend with her, so they gave her to us.

We got her seven years ago, when she was only a year old. Bella likes to watch me cook. Anything that involves food is considered fun, to her. She'll park her big fat body in between the kitchen and living room, watching me with great interest. (But, she insists she's not begging; she's just reminding us how cute she is and that she likes chicken.)

Bella has been a best friend to my son, especially. He never talked much, until she came into his life. He still doesn't talk a lot, but Bella made the biggest difference in his verbal skills! The first day they met, he said she "licked me with her big licky-tongue". My son is now 17 and Bella keeps him busy!
