Your Pet's Age
Bella was rescued December 23, 2009 and was full grown. As she was a rescue, we are unsure of her exact age. I believe she's around 11-13.
Your Pet's Breed
Technically she is a yellow Labrador, but she's more white than yellow.
How and when did you get your pet?
I had wanted a dog for years, as I had lost my last dog 7 years prior to finding Bella. The day before my 21st birthday, my dad happened to see an old dog trainer of his he hadn't seen in 20 years. The trainer informed him of the beautiful, sweet girl that had been in a very abusive home and was terrified of everything. My dad knew this was it. It had to be. Why after all this time did he run into a man he hadn't seen in 20 years? It was fate. She was the one. The doggo I had been looking to save and the dog that ended up saving me. I was surprised with her for my 21st birthday and she is the best gift I have and will ever receive. As of December 23, 2018, we have had 9 wonderful, loving years together and I hope to have many more <3
What does your pet like to do for fun?
She is a connoisseur of long luxurious naps :), excursions in the woods, all Petco adventures, jumping high for treats, car rides, finding new pet friends around the neighborhood, paWdicures, barking while cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide (Roll Tide!), and snuggling with her mama!
Do you have anything else to share about your pet?
As I stated above, Bella had been in a very abusive home. When I first got her, she was so terrified of everything, including brooms, hairdryers, and me picking up anything large. Any time you'd drop something she would run and hide under tables. She would tremble, vomit from anxiety, and was so skittish. Over time, we taught her not to be afraid. That she was in the home she was meant to be in and no one would ever hurt her again. She now stands by me as I sweep, she sits by my vanity as I dry my hair, and when I drop something she comes to sniff it. She's overcome obstacles and is the sweetest baby youll ever meet.
Also, she is obsessed with Petco. There are 3-4 different ways we can take to our local Petco and she knows where we are going every time, no matter the route. She will start barking about a mile away every single time and continue until we get there. It's the funniest thing. Maybe I should look into making her a Petco mascot ;), haha!
Overall, Bella isn't a pet to me. She's my child, my heart and soul, my saving grace. Shes the best thing that has ever happened to me and has helped me through really hard times, and also the great times. She's my best friend. If I had one wish, it would be that dogs lived as long as we do. I hope and pray I get more time with her, as I have no clue how I would function without her. She is an angel sent from above and I believe that wholeheartedly. She is Bella or munchkinas I call herand I love her dearly <3

Bella is a beautiful girl! Thank you for being willing to give this baby a second chance when her issues would probably have been too daunting for most people. Both of you are super lucky and the love you share is obvious. Xoxo
