Photo Description
This tiny flower, smaller than a dime, is the one to carry that huge, tongue twister of a name, 'Campanula portenschlagiana'. It couldn't be any prettier if it were called something simple, such as 'Bellflower', which it is. Ain't life sweet?

Why not ""cute little purple flower with 5 points"?
Thanks, Marty
But that's a description, not a name. Think I'll stay with Bellflower. You should get some of these. They are perennial and stay in constant bloom during warm weather.
Thanks for all your information - and stories.
I live in central Florida (zone 9) and the information currently given on this flower states only through zone 8 but these are really neat and I may give them a try anyway.
If you do get them, I wish you luck. I don't see why they wouldn't do well in central Florida. The only thing I can think of that might be a problem is if they could suffer from heat stress. They are to be grown in full sun or part shade. I am in central NC and I find they do better if grown in part shade.
Here is a picture of some I have growing in part shade.
Thanks for the additional photo. I have a similar tree that might be
the perfect spot as it does get very hot with all sun as it seems roses are the only plants that survive well in our full sun.
