Ingredients
- 3 cups self rising flour (sifted)
- 6 Tbsp Crisco
- 1 cup milk
Directions
Put flour and Crisco into mixing bowl and mix together with hands until well blended. Pour in milk and stir with spoon until mixed well. It will be sticky. Scrape sides of bowl and pull it all together into a ball. Add extra flour around the edges of the dough until you can handle it with your hands. Put the ball of dough on a lightly floured pad. Roll and cut into biscuits. Place on flat pan. You do not need to grease the pan.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Bake for 10 minutes or until brown on top and bottom.
Try a hot buttered biscuit with a slice of home grown tomato in it. That's good eating.
