I've had this cactus for 15 years and this is the third time it has blossomed. It doesn't last long and will soon fade, but it is always a happy surprise when it happens. It is surrounded by babies.

How do you harvest the babies in order to re-pot to share with friends?
Love it! So pretty. I've had tall cacti for years and never had one bloom. I've kept some my cacti inside year round and put one or two outside in the warm months. It didn't make a difference as far as blooming. I gave one to a friend and he basically ignored it and it bloomed every summer, until he let it die.
