I learned this easy method of cooking the Boston Butt from my daughter. The meat comes out tender and juicy and it is so good. I chilled the broth and removed the fat and made gravy. This cut of meat is also delicious with barbeque sauce on it.
Ingredients:
- Boston Butt
- 1 cup orange juice (approximately)
- salt and pepper
Steps:
- Remove excess fat from the meat.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over the meat.
- Place the meat in the crock pot.
- Pour orange juice over meat and have it approximately one inch deep in the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on high until the meat thermometer reaches 170 degrees F, approximately 4 hours depending on the size of the Boston Butt.
- Enjoy.
