Have a Sunbeam 5891 breadmaker that suddenly refuses to knead the dough. The machine runs, but the paddle won't turn. Does it need a new basket and paddle or a good swift chunk into the trash?
It sounds like you drive belt needs replacing. This is important to making your dough hook/paddle work. You can get the parts eBay.com and other various sites. You can also enter your problem on youtube and how to install were they have step by step video's to help!
A lot of times the gears are stripped out in the paddles and you need to replace this piece and I would also replace the drive belt because they do get old and start to fray over time.
My Sunbeam de lux bread maker does not knead the dough although the machine is running. Is there someone in Johannesburg / Kempton Park who can do maintenance on these machines and if spares need to be bought where can we get it from.

My Sunbeam breadmaker is not kneading, what do I do?
Your kneading blades may not be installed properly, or they may be worn out. There are so many of these in thrift stores and being given away on buy nothing groups.
