My Breadman Tr444 works most of the time OK. But it seems to be shutting down mid processing more often. It goes thru kneading and then just stops. The panel just displays as if it was preselection. There is no heat error message.
I did remove the paddle, bushing, etc. in pan and cleaned them up as they were getting hard to move by hand, and they are moving freely now. I even tried to restart from beginning process again and it did the same thing as far as stopping.
Should I do a tear down and clean up everything inside the unit and maybe replace drive belt? Could it be just be a buildup of dust, flour, etc. way inside the unit? Getting too hot?

I would try giving it a thorough cleaning, sometimes a little build up gives us the most trouble . Here is a trouble shooting site for your machine - www.fixya.com/
This sounds like you are correct in saying the machine needs a good cleaning. When you clean the machine check the timing belt and make sure it is not worn out. Many times this needs to be replaced if you are having some issue.
If you're still having problems after a good cleaning you might want to discuss it with someone on this site - they're all about baking bread on this forum.

Salton makes the Breadman TR444 so they might be able to help with problems or maybe direct you to someone who can.
I would suggest you start thinking about acquiring a 'new' machine as sometimes when one starts giving problems it is about ready to hit the dust with no return or having to buy a part that may be just the beginning.
You may not be into 'thrift storing' but these are the best places to find a machine for usually only a few dollars.
You can always Google thrift stores in your area and make a few phone calls to see what may be available.
It's possible none will be open right now but maybe in a few weeks.
Good luck and happy baking.
