Breed Ideas?

I just rescued this guy. He is approximately 8 or 9 months old. I was told he is a Shepherd mix which is obvious, but he's only 35 or 40 pounds and has a curly tail with a white tip. Husky in there maybe? They said it would be surprising if he hits 50 pounds.
