I have just built an aviary and I have few canaries in there. One pair had two babies about 3 days old. Today I brought a couple of zebra finches and have noticed that tonight the hen has jumped into the nest with the canary hen and her babies. Will this effect the babies or get the mother canary upset? I do not want anything to happen to the babies. Thank you so much!

Make sure the cage is about 120 cm wide they need lots of space.
Most of the time they can co-habitate together sometimes there will be a bird that's aggressive or to skittish so just watch for that.
Thank you for replying.. the aviary is a fairly decent size so thats a good thing. Ive managed to get another nest away from the canary and her babies as the finches started to load her nest with materials... so praying that this suits them better and they ca keep away.
