Every time we restock our weekly groceries, we make sure to bring our cooler. We place the cooler in the trunk with ice packs.
This way, we can conserve the trips to the different grocery stores in just one trip (saves gas) and without having to worry about our food spoiling. Or, sometimes grocery trips take longer than expected, the weather is hot out or there is traffic!
This will ensure your food is going to be good by the time you get home especially ones that need to be refrigerated. It also makes bringing the groceries in much easier too.

Great idea and one we have been doing for 30 years.....If one has an emergency on the road then the cold things are covered a lot longer. And, if you stop for lunch you can put leftovers in the cooler, too. We freeze 1/2 gallon containers of water to use besides all the blue ice cubes. thanks for sharing.
