I have a 1971 Britannia Encyclopaedia No18, plastic/razin, with a thistle on front. It has an extra section from page 223 to 252 and wonder if it was worth anything. The book is in mint condition and I have only the one.

No, I am sorry, this book isn't worth much at all. Maybe you can ask $5 for the book. Unless a book is over 100 years old, people won't buy it. All the information in the book is outdated and is now found online.
1971 is considered recent for an encyclopedia. It is worth little or nothing. Donate it and take the tax deduction
