When I serve this salad for company, I pray there are some leftovers because it tastes double yummy the next day.
Cook bacon, drain, and crumble.
Combine broccoli, cheese, bacon, and onion in a large bowl.
Whisk together the red wine vinegar, sugar, pepper, salt, mayonnaise, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
Gently stir dressing in to the salad, cover, and refrigerate for two hours.

Hi crazyliblady, because as good as this salad tastes I live alone, have a small appetite and am disabled. Perhaps next time I make it for a get together, I'll simply hide some away instead of praying there is some left over, eh? ;-) I love cooking and am really good at it but unless it's a recipe that can be frozen in individual containers or ingredients can easily be reduced and eaten within three days or sharing with company, I simply don't make it.
