Brown Paper Wallpaper?

I have a brown paper border in my small bathroom (with no vent). I used brown wrapping paper because I wanted a continuous strip. I ~framed~ the border with 1~x 1~ square wood trim. I coated the paper with poly urethane. It's been in there for at least 5 to 6 years & has held up perfectly.
