Brownie brittle is my dream come true as it's just the crispy, crunchy, sweet goodness of the edges of brownies I always tend to fight over. I love it but why does it cost more than brownies? It has less ingredients, less substance, but costs more money. Let's make our own! Here's how to make them using a box of brownie mix.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Yield: 24 pieces of brittle

MMmmmmmmmm. Delish! Thanks!
Can't wait to try this.
I'm so happy you will :) Bon appetit!
I'm going to try this in my small oven as I rarely use my stove oven - I'll let you know how it turns out - sounds and looks delicious.
Please do! I think I'll make a small batch in my toaster oven today, too. :)
Toaster oven works great for this as I did not make a large batch and it WAS delicious!
Oh Betty, I'm so happy to hear this!! :)
I never use mixes so it would be good to know if your ingredients differ from what is stated on the box so I know how to change a "from scratch" recipe.
Use only one egg (some box brownie recipes use two), the lowered temperature, and cooking time :) If you want your brittle extra crisp, use just the white of the egg and fluff it up real good before incorporating the rest gently.
This sounds delish!! I think it would make a great gift for the holidays. Thanks so much. Have a great day!
You are welcome! I hope you enjoy them! :)
Oh - I might have to try these when it gets cooler and I can turn our oven on!
This didnt even come close to crisp even baked longer. Chewy but not crisp at all
