I have to admit I was going buggy! So to kick the winter time blues, I got an idea for a colorful wreath with some supplies I have bought over the winter.
Total Time: 1 hour
Yield: 1 wreath
Supplies:
- 1 grapevine wreath or any wreath ($1.00)
- 8 bugs, butterflies, etc. ($.29)
- hot glue gun and glue sticks, optional
- 1 beads ($.69)
Steps:
- I purchased the grapevine wreath that was at the Salvation Army dollar store for a 1$. All the bugs were at Walmart, Christmas 90% off for about 29¢ a piece, and the beads at Joann's for 90% off for 69¢. So for under 5$ I made this awesome buggy wreath!
- I put the grapevine wreath in a kitchen garbage bag (13 gallon) with about 2 cups of salt. And went outside and shook like a leaf (for about a minute to get the dust off). Then I primped and preened about the flowers and grape leaves till they were just right.
- The bugs had little clips in their backs, so they just went right on the wreath. I then wrapped the beads along the grapevine wreath. Then I secured them with fish line I had laying around house.
