Sorry, thumbs down on this, even though it looks good. Whatever's on your wisk or spoon will run down the handle ONto the handle of your pot/pan--from there onto your stovetop!
I still use a spoon rest and I did buy a spoon/utensil clip-on that clips to the side of your pot/pan I use sometimes. It was cheap on ebay.
The hole can also be used for hanging your pots and pans. Works great for hanging them on a peg board if you have somewhere you can put a peg board with hooks for hanging.
If you do this don't be surprised if you burn your hand on the spoon or other utensil you put in the handle of a hot pan
