Photo Description Butchart Gardens is a National Historic Site of Canada and has been in existence for more than 100 years.
Jenny and Robert Butchart originally were in the cement business. Once the limestone quarry was exhausted, Jenny decided to use her gardening skills and started the Sunken Garden. In 1939, they gave the garden to their grandson, who made vast improvements. We enjoyed seeing the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Italian Garden and waterfalls.
Paradise right here on earth. A must-see if you go to Victoria, British Columbia.
