I suffer from Celiac disease, an allergy to wheat, rye, and barley. This means store bought cookies, cakes, breads, etc. are out. I have found that at Ocean State Job Lot, they sell a number of gluten-free products including an assortment of flours and mixes under the name of Bob's Red Mill.
Many of our local stores sell Bob's Red Mill products. The local SDA store carries a full line and I think Safeway does as well. Those are very good products!
Bob's Red Mill is located in Milwaukie, Oregon. I am so lucky to have them nearby. I tell everyone I know who has gluten allergies about them. You can order from them directly online, but I don't know what the shipping rates would be. http://www.bobsredmill.com
You can also order many of the Bob's Red Mill products from Amazon.com/grocery. This is very helpful for those of us who are disabled.
Years ago no one that I know of suffered from gluten intolerance. It's not the gluten that is making many of us sick, but it is the chemical known as glyphosate which is found in Round-Up.
