I was wondering where I can get Dawn dish soap in Australia? It was mentioned in a tip.

Not sure, but here's the DAWN website, maybe you can contact them and find out. It is great. A real miracle worker. On their commercial here in US, shows scientists cleaning birds who were caught in oil spills and the Dawn dissolves the oil. http://www.dawn-dish.com/en_US/home.do. (04/03/2010)

I think I would just try any basic soap for hand washing dishes. Dawn is not that different from a variety of other brands, like Joy and Palmolive. I usually use a generic yellow dish soap and it works good on stains. (04/05/2010)

You could also try here:

It's drugstore.com, and they ship internationally.
I tend to disagree with the poster who's satisfied with the generic dish-washing stuff, only because I've used them too and seem to find that I need twice the amount of those to do what the Dawn does the first time...for me, it's more cost efficient to use Dawn, even though the price is higher. Try Fairy or Texol if you can find it in Australia. They both are very similar. (04/08/2010)
