Cook cabbage and drain. Saute onion in 5 tablespoons butter until tender. Add soup and mix well. Add cheese, heat and stir until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in cabbage, salt and pepper. Place in ungreased 2 quart baking dish. Melt remaining butter and saute bread crumbs and sprinkle over casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 20-30 minutes.
