Mix meat, eggs, rice, mushrooms, seasonings and onion together. Separate large outer leaves of cabbage and boil in salt water about 2 minutes or until limp enough to handle easily. Fill cabbage leaves with meat filling and fasten with toothpicks. Put in casserole and add 1 can tomato juice and 1 cup water. Tomatoes may also be added, 1 quart. Simmer slowly about 2 hours in 250-300 degree F oven. Add more water if needed to keep rolls from burning.
