Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,298 Posts This is a cute candy basket - perfect as a Valentine's Day gift, or little decoration piece for your office desk.
I made this candy basket with items I already had at home and paired them with holiday clearance candy I bought. This was very inexpensive to make.
Total Time: 30 minutes
Yield: 1 basket
Supplies:
- paper doily
- empty cardboard tape roll
- scissors
- piece of thin cardboard
- candy pieces
- ribbon
- hot glue
- pen/pencil
Steps:
- Using a circular empty tape roll, I secured a piece of ribbon with hot glue to the inside.
- Wrap the ribbon tightly all around the roll, overlapping slightly and secure the other end with hot glue.
- Trace a circle, using the inside of the cardboard roll, onto any thin piece of cardboard paper and cut out.
- Glue the cardboard circle underneath the paper doily (this will support the candy).
- Turn the paper doily right side up; hot glue the ribbon wrapped tape roll in the center of the doily.
- Dab some hot glue dots around the roll to create a flower shape.
- (Optional) Cut a strip of cardboard and hot glue across the roll to create the basket handle.
