Is it OK to home can hummingbird food? It would be in sterile jars and lids. Then it would be processed in a water bath for 10 minutes. Would this change the nectar in anyway? Thanks in advance for any help.

Canning should not make a difference in quality; freezing also. The correct ratio for water to sugar is 4:1.
As you state, the ratio is 4:1 but I do believe it is 4 C. of sugar to 1 C. of water. Not the other way around as your post reads. Correct me if I am wrong, please.
The correct ratio of sugar to water is 1 cup sugar to 4 to 5 cups of water.
It's 4 cup's water 1 cup sugar boil until sugar disolves Nothing else go in it cool down ,
The correct ratio is one cup of sugar to 4 cups of water.
4 cups water to 1 cup sugar. I make gallons at a time and always add an additional cup of sugar when I make large batches. They love it. I average close to 30 hummingbirds daily using plastic feeders with 10 feeder holes each.
I think it would be fine. It would be just like canning fruit, except no fruit in the jars, just sugar syrup.
There are no ingredients in this recipe that should not be canned, so I would say yes
