Canning Jar Sewing Kit - finished kit This is a miniature sewing kit, which holds a few basic sewing supplies, for the beginner seamstress. I put straight pins on the pincushion top, a pair of scissors, some thread, a measuring tape, some needles, and small scraps of fabric into the jar.

Supplies:

craft glue
pair of scissors
1 large canning jar
1 canning jar seal
1 canning jar ring
circle of fabric
batting
sewing supplies

Steps:

Place the canning seal on top of a piece of fabric and cut a circular shape an inch larger than the diameter of the canning seal.

Put a handful of stuffing on top of the seal. Place fabric circle on top. Using glue, glue the fabric to the bottom of the seal all the way around. It is helpful to clip the edges every 1/2" around the diameter of the circle to make it easier to glue around the top and retain its circular shape. Glue the edges of the seal to the inside of the canning ring. Let dry.
