I have been using my Microsoft outlook account from many years with no technical problems. In the recent times, my MS outlook began asking for my IMAP server password, when in Microsoft outlook. I have entered my login password correctly many times, but it asked me to type the password again and again.
It has created outlook email login problems. I have become frustrated and removed my account. Now, I am trying to set up my account again. Now, MS outlook will permit me to sign into the SMTP server, but won't permit me to sign into IMAP server. I can send email from my account, but not receive emails. So I think that it is the problems of login credentials. Can anyone help me for solving can't login to IMAP server through MS outlook?

This is an issue with some providers that don't allow this and they instead use POP or the POP server. I have had to deal with this on several occasion with my clients and the only way to get around all of this is to switch the setting to SMTP and POP and then add the info there and you should get it to work again. You second option is to use your Internet like Google and go direct to Outlook mail, log into your outlook account and use the setup to sent, receive, and read your emails online.
sometimes your machine will do an automatic system update that throws out of whack existing applications. I don't know what operating system you are running, but you could google if your recent update is having these issues
you can also do a System Restore and see if that solved the problem.
This problem has been going on for several years but seems to hit people randomly.
