I had that happen a few cars ago and it was the alternator
Take it up to the parts store and have them check For FREE BEST ANSWER!
Step 1
CHECK ALTERNATOR
Take your car to a near by auto parts store (Auto Zone, NAPA, Pep Boys, Advance Auto Parts) as any of them will check it for you.
It is probably your alternator but best to have it checked before it does further damage to your battery.
Can you replace a new alternator? If not, talk to friends/family about a trusted mechanic. If no one like that maybe one of the auto stores will supply you a couple of names.
Sorry but according to the make/year of your car - alternators/service are usually very expensive.
Hopefully it is the least expensive fix, which is a loose cable or corrosion on the terminals. We just went through this with one of our family cars. The sweet gal--that was nice surprise--from AAA did her magic and it has been fine since.
Wishing you an easy a fix as we had!
