Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 239 Posts For small gifts that are difficult to wrap, you can use a cardboard tube as a gift box. You will find these tubes at the middle of rolls of toilet tissue, kitchen paper rolls, rolls of wrapping paper, and sometimes cooking foil and cling film.
Supplies:
- 1 cardboard tube
- gift wrap paper
- long length of wide ribbon
- glue stick, glue dots or double sided sticky tape
Steps:
- Choose your tube. Remember thick sturdy tubes will give better protection to your gift, but thinner flimsier ones are easier to work with.
- Cut a length of tube to fit your gift with a couple of inches extra at each end.
- Trim off any jagged bits.
- Squash it a little flatter so that it is now more oval than round then check your gift still fits.
- Press in on each side at one end.
- Insert the gift into the tube then press the sides in on the other end to enclose the gift.
- Cut a strip of gift wrap to fit the width of your box.
- Wrap it around and secure with a glue stick, sticky dot, or double sided tape.
- Tie up in a bow.
