I just adopted 2 8 month old sisters. Shortly after bringing them home 1 got very sick. I rushed her to an emergency vet and was told she has parvo and would likely not survive. They had not had any vaccinations yet. I was also told her sister would get sick and not survive. I researched and we fought it from home and they both survived. It's been 5 weeks, but my question is it over? Is the parvo virus gone? Someone told me they will still die unless I take them to the vet for iv treatment.

This is not always the case. However, you do need to get both the dogs to the vet and start a series of shots for them to protect them from getting this again. You are very lucky to treat this on your own and both the dogs have survived. On to keep them healthy and to stop them from getting this again you need to clean your house and yard. Also they will need to be vaccinated to protect them and keep them safe. Great job because in some cases the dogs will die if a vet does not give you the proper medicine and the dogs don't get enough liquids.
I think the worst is over. I think both dogs will survive.
They are out of the woods! But are in need of shots and new check up from this sickness. They are still open to more sickness,Best of Luck with the girls!
It is rare for puppies that have survived parvo to get it again but it has happened. They do not need the parvo vaccination now but your puppies need vaccinations for other viruses that they can get.
