I gave my little Chihuahua Pedialyte in a syringe. I put the syrup in the top of his mouth. He is drinking water, but throws it up. A vet gave me goat's milk and calf liver to help him, but he will not eat anything. I has been going on for 4 days now and he is still pooping bloody diarrhea and still vomiting white foam. Is he going to live?

The dog should not be given solid food. At this point he should be at the vet getting care there
Hi,
I am so sorry your dog is suffering. Whether he will pull through depends on his strength, and his immune system.
The idea is to keep offering him pedialyte as long as he will drink it. The idea is to let the virus run its course. In order for him to survive the dehydration he has to have water or pedialyte.
The vomiting and stools should subside in two weeks. Even at the vets, with antibiotics and IVs the dogs who are not strong enough will not make it.
I wish you the best and you have my prayers.

Try to give water or pedialyte every so often and hopefully some stays down.
I would bring him back to vet to see if there is something that can be done.
Please take the pup back to the vet and ask for better instructions and assistance ASAP!
The vet needs to guide the pup's care and if there are ongoing issues when treatment starts, the vet needs to know so he/she can update the treatment plan.
I know parvo survivors and they all had vet care followed to the letter and parents who prayed and kept positive vibes going.
Post back with an update. Sending up lots and lots of healing prayers!
just make sure he stays dehydrated
unfortunately whether he survives or not really depends on his immune system and how hardy he is. Certainly many puppies survive parvo but just as many succumb and the only real predictor is their natural constitution and state of health
the most important thing is to keep him hydrated, especially if he is still vomiting
Chihuahuas are usually very small and may not be very strong but they can many times survive Parvo if given the right treatment.
It is very important to follow a strict routine but I have never heard of a vet giving calf liver so I'm not too sure about that.
If at all possible, you should have him stay under the vet's care for several days as they can give them fluids intravenously and that helps to keep the fluid down and slow down the diarrhea.
Here are some suggestions from vet's about how to take care of your pup at home. It will take a while to read but it is very necessary reading as this is a deadly virus and many times they do not survive if they do not stay with a vet for a few days.
