My late Carmel (a Dachshund) had a guinea pig as a best friend when she was a pup. My friend who owned the G.P. fed her fruits and veggies and special hay twice a day. There is almost no need to bathe them. It isn't good for them at all
They need a vet who specializes in guinea pigs and small creatures as their teeth get wonky and need regular filing. It can be dangerous for them if this is neglected. Carmel's pal lived a lovely 6 years, which was amazing as sadly they have short life spans.
